Challenge Quilt theme is “Strips, Stripes and Plaids”
Participants can use one, two or all three of the above to create a quilted piece. Who knows, you may find these in your own stash but not to worry there are many new stripes and plaids on the market today.
A second way to make a quilted piece is to construct it so that strips, stripes or plaids are obviously seen in the finished piece. One can use florals, solids, any colors or patterns to make your own striped or plaid piece.
Use your imagination and try to think out of the box. Lots of ideas on Pinterest and the web. Of course patterns can be used as well but remember the background also needs to be constructed with strips. Quilted pieces can be any size. Small to large.
Our finished quilts will be hung in the 2 large creative arts display cabinets for the month of March, 2024.
This is a wonderful opportunity to share our creativity with the growing Pebble Creek Community. Thank you, hope to see lots of quilts.
