Have you seen quilts with free-flowing curves and wondered, how did they do that? If so, this is the class for you. Is precision not your strong point? No problem! Precision isn't needed for Improv. All you need is an idea and an open mind. Bring your ideas or even some inspirational photos you can build from.
This is a techniques class where you'll become comfortable cutting your fabric free form and sewing curves. By the end of the day, you'll have a 12"x12" mounted art piece you'll be able to hang on your wall.

In this class attendees will learn how to make a 10 ½” Layered Star Trivet using a folding method.
The Layered Star Trivet is reminiscent of similar projects that used the same technique back in the 1980s. We'll take a step back from piecing and just enjoy some color as we play with simple squares and create a beautiful star pattern. Join Mary for a bit of folding fun!
