She will teach the various methods of making collage quilts that she has learned over the years. You will need to bring a small collage pattern from any artist or use a copy of a non-copyrighted coloring picture that you have enlarged to at least 11 x 17 inches. Learn to make fat Plus blocks that dance across the quilt. This is a very scrap friendly project
that can use charm squares, leftover jelly roll pieces, and assorted low volume backgrounds. It’s
also a very forgiving project for novice piecers or for a group because the blocks are made
oversized, then trimmed down to make them dance. You can make the quilt any size you like.
Tutorial will be provided.
In class we’ll make four starter blocks. One you’ll keep for refence. You’ll trim one down to
dance to the left, one to dance to the right, and one straight on. Trimmed blocks are 6-1/2”.
