You are no longer required to have a backing, batting and binding when you donate your quilt top.
If you prefer to make the quilt top only, you may turn it into the “Quilt Tops only” bin in Cabinet 104S. The CS Committee will cut batting, prepare backing and make it available for Longarm volunteers to quilt and bind it.
If you would prefer to quilt and bind your charity quilt top, we can provide batting, backing, binding or whatever you need to complete your quilt. (You can find backing and binding materials in our fabric resources.)
If you’re completing a charity quilt on your own and need batting to complete the quilt, please complete the batting request form. (Please use the link below.)
Provide the exact measurements of your quilt top when you submit your form.
Make your backing and batting 10 inches on all sides bigger than the quilt top. Example - top is 45” wide and 65” long make backing & batting 55“ wide and 75” long.
FOR GALLERY SALES ITEMS Provide the size of the batting that you need. No additional batting will be provided for quilting.
